The most unmarried metro on our list
Los Angeles has the highest share of unmarried young adults of any metro on our list: 75% of men and 67.6% of women aged 25–34, against 64.5% and 56.2% nationally. The metro runs from LA County through Long Beach to Anaheim and Orange County.
Median earnings for men are $51.6k, a little below the US median of $53k, and only 25.1% of men with earnings make $100k or more. That's the second-lowest of the ten metros.
In most metros the surplus of single men shrinks by the late 30s. In LA it holds: 114 unmarried men per 100 women at 25–34 and 115 at 35–44.
Asking for a man aged 28–38 who is 6′0″ or taller and earns $100k+ leaves about 13,800 people, or 1 in 65. Height cuts the most, since about 15% of men are 6′0″ or taller.
