The biggest pool, and the most even
The metro stretches from the five boroughs to Newark, Jersey City and Long Island. It has 19.8 million residents, including about 1,513,151 unmarried men aged 25–44.
At 25–34 there are 108 unmarried men for every 100 unmarried women, the lowest ratio of the ten metros we compare (US: 118). By 35–44 it's 102.
21.2% of women with earnings make $100k or more, against 12.5% nationally, and 45.1% of women hold a bachelor's degree. For a woman earning that much, only 31.2% of men with earnings make six figures too.
Ask for a man aged 28–38, at least 6′0″, earning $150k or more, and the calculator finds about 13,100 in the whole metro. That's 1 in 105 men that age.
