This policy explains what Dating Pool Calculator (“we”, “us”), at datingpoolcalculator.com, collects, why, and what you can do about it. If something here is unclear, write to privacy@datingpoolcalculator.com.
What we collect
When you use the calculator
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The filters you choose (age, height, income, city and so on) are not sent to us. If you copy a link to your result, those choices are written into the link itself, so anyone you share it with can see them.
When you ask for the emailed breakdown
If you enter your email to get your full result, we collect:
- your email address;
- the calculator settings and results for that request: who you're looking for, city, age range, height, income, your own age, height and income range, the resulting pool size and shares, and the link to your result.
Please don't enter information you don't want us to keep. We do not ask for your name, photos, contact lists or anything about your health beyond the calculator's yes/no filters.
Technical data
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, time) for security and to keep the site running. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
Cookies
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't store anything on your device. If we add privacy-respecting analytics later, we will update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
Why we use it
- To send what you asked for: the breakdown of your result and a few follow-up emails about dating pools and how to widen yours. Legal basis (GDPR): your consent, given when you submit the form.
- To improve the calculator: aggregated, anonymous statistics (for example, which filters people use most). Legal basis: our legitimate interest. We never publish anything that identifies you.
- To keep the site secure and comply with the law. Legal basis: legitimate interest and legal obligation.
Our emails may mention services that help people meet a partner, including a private matchmaking service we work with. We do not sell, rent or share your email or answers with them or anyone else for their own marketing.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, as offered by each provider.
How long we keep it
We keep your email and result until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. After you unsubscribe, we keep only your email on a suppression list so we don't write to you again. Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short period, usually up to 30 days.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can:
- unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email;
- see what we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct or delete it;
- withdraw consent or object to processing.
If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, you also have the right to restrict processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): we collect the categories listed above (identifiers and the information you enter), for the purposes above. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. You have the right to know, delete and correct, and we will not treat you differently for using these rights.
To use any of these rights, email privacy@datingpoolcalculator.com from the address you signed up with. We answer within 30 days.
Age
This site is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has given us their email, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, the email provider's key is kept on the server and never in the page, and access to the data is limited to the people who run the site. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep as little as we can.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so in our next email before it takes effect.
