How the standards test works
Each answer becomes a filter. We start with everyone of the age you chose in your area, keep only single people, then apply your standards one by one, using US Census Bureau and CDC data. What's left is the share of people who match all of them.
The result isn't a judgment. Plenty of people with a rare result keep their standards. It just tells you how deliberate your search has to be.
Questions people ask
What is the standards test?
A short quiz about what you want in a partner. Your answers go into a dating pool calculator built on Census and CDC data, which shows how many single people in the US meet all of your standards at once.
How is the standards test scored?
By how rare your ideal partner is. If 1 in 10 people of that age fit, your standards are realistic. If fewer than 1 in 200 fit, they're a rare find. The result also shows which standard cuts your pool the most.
Is there a men's standards test?
Yes, it's the same test. Choose whether you're looking for a man or a woman in the first question.
