What the site is
Dating Pool Calculator estimates how many single people in the United States, or in a US metro area, match a set of partner preferences. The estimates are built from public data: the US Census Bureau American Community Survey and Current Population Survey, CDC surveys and Pew Research Center studies. How we calculate, and the limits of the method, are explained on the Methodology page.
Estimates, not facts about real people
Every result is a statistical estimate. It treats filters as independent, rounds source figures and uses national rates for some local numbers, so the true count can be higher or lower. The site does not count, list, profile or identify any real person. Results and articles are provided for information and entertainment only and are not relationship, psychological, medical, financial or legal advice.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old to use the site or sign up for emails.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- use the site to harass, shame or target anyone;
- scrape the site in bulk, overload it, or try to break or bypass its security;
- submit someone else's email address without their permission;
- present our results as official government statistics.
Sharing and quoting
You're welcome to share your result, screenshots and story cards, and to quote our figures with a link to datingpoolcalculator.com. The site's design, text and code belong to Dating Pool Calculator; the underlying government data is public domain.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dating Pool Calculator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any decision you make based on the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to US $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you; nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law where you live.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the site means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence gives you mandatory protections.
