Good ratio, small market
There are 126 unmarried men per 100 women at 25–34 and 120 at 35–44, second only to Seattle. About half of adults have a degree (50.2% of men, 51.7% of women), well above Dallas, at 38.9% and 39.8%.
The whole metro, from Austin to Round Rock and San Marcos, has 2.4 million people, about an eighth of New York. So the same standards produce far smaller numbers. A man aged 28–38, 6′0″ or taller, earning $100k+ comes to about 3,060 here, against about 25,400 in New York, even though men in Austin are about as likely to clear that income.
Earnings are above Dallas but below the top coastal metros: $63.1k for men, $47.5k for women. 30.7% of men and 16.9% of women with earnings make $100k or more, with a wide gap between the two.
At this size, two filters leave about 3,060 people across the whole metro, and a degree requirement on top brings it to about 1,430.
